Our Favorite Things {giveaway!}

Christmas is just a few short weeks away. For reals.

To celebrate, I have joined with some dear friends {affectionately called the Ladder Bloggers},  and put together a giveaway blog- hop for you to enjoy!

When I began thinking about a contribution to this giveaway, I immediately thought of my friend Brandi who creates amazing handbags. A few emails and whalla! I have a  Maris Rae tote to give to one of my readers. Glorious.

You will love it. I know.

Her bags are handmade, with beautiful color combinations and will make a perfect gift for a friend or just something special for you to enjoy.

A winner will be chosen on Monday, December 3rd and will be notified by email. (The winner will have 48 hours to respond. If I don’t hear back from them, a new winner will be chosen.)

Now. On to the rest of the goodies! See all these beautiful things? They’re all being given away by my friends. Help yourself to these wonderful links and enjoy the beginnings of the Christmas season!

There is so much goodness {and so many chances to win!} if you’ll just follow me as we visit…

  2. One of my favorite things are these green iced tea glasses my grandmother passed down. They came in a bag of laundry soap – she collected them one at a time. They are a beautiful green glass with a pedastal bottom. I just love them! I have to say, my favorite thing at Maris Rae is a toss up between the Black Chandelier Bag and the Red Lipstick Bag. Gorgeous. (I’m already following you on twitter!)

    • Oh, those sound so pretty! 🙂 I love colored glass.

Doesn’t Maris Rae make the sweetest things? Thanks for entering the giveaway!

    • Egyptian Licorice Tea… I’ve never tried such a thing. The closest to Licorice flavored tea I’ve ever tasted is Throat Coat (which I love when I’m sick. 🙂 ) I’ll have to keep my eye out for such a thing!

  3. One of my favorite things are essential oils. Frankincense has been instrumental in reversing my fibrocystic breast disease. We use oils in our home daily from lavender for burns to peppermint for headaches. They are truly a blessing from God!

    • Frankincense? That’s so interesting! I’ve been wanting to research on oils to help with some of my health issues… Do you have any suggestions of where to start reading up on them?

One of my favorite things is hearing the birds sing every single morning, just before the sun comes up over the trees. It always brings me so much joy! ❤

    • We had a huge flock of geese fly over us this morning… I was standing outside in the quiet snow, listening to them and thinking that I would truly miss the birds this winter.

  5. Actually, fun, pretty, unusual handbags are probably on the favorite thing list. Singing hymns would have been my answer if I hadn’t just seen the handbag photo. 🙂 Thanks for the lovely giveaway and for promoting handmade. I came by from Always Alleluia.

Grace and peace to you in Christ Jesus.

Truly, one of my favorite things is to serve, within a group, like outreach to others. Such as serving up Thanksgiving dinner to the community or putting together a gift for someone. 🙂

Isn’t giving gifts a blast? I think that is one of favorites as well. 🙂

  8. One of my favorite things…probably morning devotional times…when it’s dark except for a lit candle…and a mug of my favorite tea…and the Bible or my new “Hope” devotional in my hands. And His presence surrounding me.

    P.S. LOVE that bag! 😉

  9. Most of my favorite things are not tangible. Like music, fellowship, a beautiful moment outdoors, or my heart coming alive in the Word. Other than that, my viola and piano are probably my favorite things.

    • Hmm… yes. fellowship, music, outdoors… I agree heartily with all of those! (and if I had a piano- hopefully, someday! that would definitely be on the list as well.)

  17. One of my favorite things is sitting by a real wood burning fireplace with a cup of hot tea, my reading glasses and a good book! Another favorite thing is the way God surprises me…this past year has been sensing His presence and hearing His voice as I step out of the shower…crazy sounding I know…the first word I heard was “obedience”, I said ok, but why am I hearing from you when I step out of the shower…I’m dripping wet, naked and feeling completely vulnerable…and He said, “intimacy” as plainly as if He had been standing right there! Love, love the way God delights and surprises! I should probably be blogging about this! LOL! blessings to you!! Follow you on Facebook.

  20. One of my favorite things is hosting a BBQ in the middle of a snow storm! It is so much fun to tell folks to bring their favorite summer foods over in February. I’ve had friends arrive pulling food on sleds b/c roads were closed. It is such a “spirit-lifter” in the midst of long, dark, February days.

  22. I have three sticks I have picked up in three special places: 1) a spot in the woods where I knelt and made an altar to God in my heart, 2) the shore of Muckross Lake in the Killarney Forest in Ireland- because, well, it was Ireland and there was a stick, 3) the little lot of woods where my sons have run amuk. Those three sticks just sit in a pile on a shelf and I am not sure anyone knows they are significant. I should probably alert someone. Thank you for the chance to win this lovely bag. I do not think one can have too many bags.

    • Nor can anyone have too many sticks. 🙂 I have rocks. One from every state and every country that I’ve stood in. They are precious to me– and I’m sure are just rocks to everyone else. 🙂
